Release from the Governor Katie Villegas, 41, of West Sacramento, has been appointed to the Yolo County Fair Board of Directors (40th District Agricultural Association). She has served as executive director for the Yolo County Children's Alliance since 2006. Previously, Villegas was an associate governmental program analyst for the California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs from 2005 to 2006 and associate governmental program analyst for the California Department of Health Services from 2004 to 2005. Prior to that, she owned the consulting firm, Katie Villegas Consulting, from 2003 to 2006. Villegas is co-chair and fundraising development chair for the Children's Health Initiative and a representative for the Yolo County First 5 Commission. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no salary. Villegas is a Democrat.
