River Water

The Sacramento Bee had an article yesterday about the potential of a river water project for Woodland and Davis.
The facts in the article pretty much state the case in terms of why the people of Woodland might very well be for or against the project. Increased water quality v. cost.
Quality water is one thing I am willing to pay more for. When I consider the increased quality, the fact that I will be able to stop using a water softner, and stop pumping ground water it makes a lot of sense. |

Without reading the Sac Bee article, I am amazed that the state has determined that our ground water is unacceptable "run-off" into the river. That makes me wonder about all the hype about green waste contamination of " run-off". Gosh, if it is unacceptable as "run-off" it is probably unacceptable for human consumption in the first place. Really makes you begin to wonder about our elected and upper echelon management. Ofcourse they are bailing out like rats leaving a cruise ship in Anarctica.
